In the ancient Greek tradition, Nekyia meant a communion with spirits, often during a journey to the underworld to seek knowledge or wisdom. Nekyia reflects the understanding that healing can require descent into dark places and revisiting old ghosts. You need not go alone.

Nicholas Barr, LCSW, PHD, launched Nekyia to deliver an integrated approach to wellbeing in mind, body, and spirit. Dr Barr’s approach blends cutting-edge evidence-based therapeutic techniques with humanity’s wisdom traditions, from deep time to the present.
